Walk Boldly With Jesus

Witness Wednesday #124 Caitlyn

Episode Summary

Today’s witness is from my new friend Caitlyn. I met Caitlyn at an Encounter Ministry Healing Service. We were both in line for the restroom, and we struck up a conversation. I remember her because she was so nice. I also remember her saying she had circled this date on her calendar months ago and had been really looking forward to this night. I usually take video footage of the testimonies we receive, so I don’t always get to pray over people. However, I did not pray over Caitlyn for one of her ailments. I remember thinking about her and wondering if she received the healing she sought. I was bummed that I didn’t get any contact information from her. However, Deacon Joe, the director for the Boston Campus of Encounter Ministries, sent out an email Caitlyn had sent him letting him know of her healing. I shared that email with you on an earlier episode, but today, you get to hear it straight from Caitlyn. I am so excited to share this with you. I want you to pay attention to what she did right before she received the healing. We have all seen God working in our lives. However, we might not all be aware it is God working in our lives.  This is why it is so important we start talking about it more.  The more we share our experiences, the more people understand how God works and how much He truly loves us.  If you would be willing to share any experience of how God has worked or is working in your life, please email me at catherine@findingtruenorthcoaching.com or click here.  It won’t take up much of your time, and your story could be just the story that someone needs to hear today.  Prayerfully consider sharing.  Everyone has a story, and the world needs to hear them. Episode Notes

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. Did you all notice that before she received the healing she took a leap of faith and started testing out to see if she was healed? Sometimes, that is when we are healed, when we step out in faith to test the healing. Testing the healing means trying to do something you couldn’t do before. Like in Caitlyn’s case, she tried to see outside without her sunglasses on. This would have normally induced a headache, but she tried it anyway, and she did not get one. She also put her feet in hot water, which again would have usually been really painful, but there was no pain. She trusted that God gave her the healing she asked for, and He gave her the healing she asked for.  St. Augustine said, “Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.” Caitlyn believed she was healed despite no evidence of that healing. She stepped out in faith and tested the healing that was granted to her. I know praying for healing, even just hoping for healing, can be scary because what if we are let down? However, Romans 5:5 says, “ and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.” I am so proud of Caitlyn. I am proud she was brave and went to the healing service. I am proud that she took the leap of faith to test her healing when nothing indicated she had been healed. I am proud of her for signing up for the class to learn to be the Lord’s instrument and help heal others. I can’t wait to watch her light get brighter and brighter and to see all the amazing things God has planned for her. I am so grateful he brought the two of us together. I know he has great plans for us and all those at the Encounter School of Ministry Boston Campus. Look out, Boston Diocese, a revival is coming, and we are here for it!
