Today I want to witness to you about how much God is in the small things. We’ve had a so many wonderful witnesses and they have all been so different. We have had some people witness how God has been there providing miracles for them in their day to day lives. We have also had witnesses about how God provided extraordinary miracles. This is the reason I wanted to do this segment of the podcast. I decided to do “Witness Wednesdays” because I wanted everyone to see all the different ways God can work in your life, all the ways He is working in your life. I have asked several people if they would like to give a witness and they have said they don’t really have anything to share. They know God is working in their life but it is not in any of the ways we have heard about. They said they just have ordinary lives or boring lives and nothing interested to talk about. I understand what they are saying. They haven’t had any sudden miracles where angels have shown up and nothing miraculously appeared or disappeared. They haven’t had any miraculous healings to report. I get it and also, that doesn’t mean there is nothing to witness about. Today my witness is about a time when I was doing something ordinary, something people do all the time, and yet God showed up in a bunch of small ways. I love the miraculous ways God shows up. I love to hear about his supernatural miracles, healings and angels. I love to hear about it all! However, there is something really special about noticing God showing up in our everyday lives in little ways that I love too. He is so magnificent, and so busy. There is so much going on in the world and when we notice Him showing up in the little details of our lives, it amazes me just as much. Actually, maybe even more because there probably isn’t a lot of Glory in the small things for God. When God performs big miracles we praise Him, we know it was Him and we are so grateful, the bigger the miracle the bigger the praise. If God miraculously cures someone they probably praise Him for the rest of their life. I am sure my whole family still praises God for saving my nieces life and healing her when she was born so early. How often do we praise God for the little ways he steps in to save us? Do we even realize it is God stepping in to help us? Do we stop to say Thank you, or do we chalk it up to coincidence, or life or good luck? God stepping in to help us in the day to day things, in those small ways we might not even notice in the moment, is truly remarkable. It shows that although God loves when we praise Him, He is not doing it for the praise. He is doing it because He truly loves us and because He cares about us more than we could ever understand. We have all seen God working in our lives, however, we might not all be aware it is God who is working in our lives. This is why it is so important we start talking about it more. The more we share our experiences the more people understand how God works and how much He truly loves us.
